1. Donation Cancellation
Once a donation has been successfully completed through our website or payment gateway, it generally cannot be cancelled.
As donations are voluntary contributions made towards our charitable programmes, donors are requested to carefully verify the donation amount and payment details before completing the transaction.
2. Refund Policy
Donations are generally non-refundable once the transaction has been successfully processed.
However, a refund may be considered in exceptional circumstances, such as:
* Duplicate payment made accidentally.
* An incorrect amount charged due to a technical or payment-processing error.
* A transaction that was debited from the donor’s account but was not successfully received by Idhayangal Charitable Trust.
* Any other genuine payment-related issue that can be verified through the payment gateway or bank records.
All refund requests will be reviewed and verified before any refund is processed.
3. Recurring Donations
For recurring or monthly donations, donors may request cancellation of future payments.
Cancellation of a recurring donation will stop future contributions where the cancellation can be processed before the next scheduled payment. Any payment that has already been successfully processed will generally be treated as a completed donation and will not be refundable, except in eligible circumstances mentioned above.

5. Refund Processing
Once a refund request is received, Idhayangal Charitable Trust may verify the transaction with the relevant payment gateway or banking institution.
If a refund is approved, it will normally be processed to the original payment method used for the transaction. The time taken for the amount to appear in the donor’s account may depend on the payment gateway, bank, or card/UPI provider.
6. Fraudulent or Unauthorised Transactions
If you believe that your payment method has been used without your authorisation, please contact your bank or payment provider immediately and inform Idhayangal Charitable Trust so that the transaction can be investigated.
7. Policy Changes
Idhayangal Charitable Trust reserves the right to update this Cancellation and Refund Policy when necessary. Any changes will be published on this page with the revised effective date.
