How the partnership works

We collaborate with hospitals, doctors, and healthcare professionals to identify, refer, and support children with Type 1 Diabetes, ensuring they receive continuous, high-quality care.

Shared Enrolment

Idhayangal Charitable Trust has established 14 Support Care Centres across Tamil Nadu, making diabetes care more accessible to children and families. We also conduct camps in other districts to reach more children and provide them with the care and support they need.

Clinician Training

We provide specialised training and hands-on workshops to help healthcare teams strengthen their skills in Type 1 Diabetes care.

Supply Chain

Essential insulin, glucose strips, CGM sensors, and other supplies are distributed through our Specialised Care Centres (SCCs), with support from volunteers and SCC teams. Regular camps every three months help ensure continued care and support.

Shared Registry

A registry helps us keep track of children’s care and ensure continued support, even when families move to a different location.
