National Health Mission Expands Type 1 Diabetes Specialised Care Centres

The National Health Mission (NHM), Tamil Nadu, announced the expansion of Specialized Care Centres for children with Type 1 Diabetes across multiple government hospitals. Idhayangal Charitable Trust partnered with NHM in implementing this initiative, which has significantly reduced diabetic emergencies and improved HbA1c levels among children. The programme continues to strengthen access to quality diabetes care for thousands of families across Tamil Nadu.
